White Tassel Necklace

She laughed to herself as their guide helped her to climb into the truck. Here they were, about to embark on a photographic safari in the biggest wildlife preserve in Africa. They would be on an off road drive where they hoped to see hundreds of animals cavorting across the landscape – and she was wearing her favorite “zebra jasper” pendant necklace. Imagine that, she thought to herself – zebra among the zebras. If her companions knew, she would never hear the end of their teasing, but they didn’t. She loved that necklace and carried it on this three week African trip because it is so versatile. It is a bright, fun creation. The striking onyx marble pendant is commonly known as zebra jasper, and is framed with a single black faceted bead in both sides. The handmade white silk tassle below gives the necklace a sophisticated look. The tassle is capped with a bright combination of red and black beads. The pendant attaches to the necklace with an elegant black beaded bail. The rope is handmade of beads and incorporates six round white marble beads. The closure is a fittingly elegant sterling silver hook clasp. This necklace is a wearable art. She held the pendant in her hand as she saw the first distant group of animals startle and run.
